It’s very important that your doctor knows if you take drugs called alpha-blockers or nitrates. These can interact with Staxyn and cause dangerous side effects. Usually, doctors advise patients to take one Staxyn tablet about an hour before anticipated sexual activity. Like Viagra and other PDE-5 inhibitors, Staxyn doesn’t, by itself, produce erections. Sexual stimulation is still required. Staxyn makes it so blood flow works in your favor.
You can take Staxyn either with or without meals, and you should not chew or crush it, because it’s made to dissolve quickly under your tongue without your having to drink water.
