Erectile Dysfunction Question:
I have a hormonal imbalance which is Gynecomastia and therefore most often loss erection even in the course of having sex and want to know if it will be of help to take viagra considering my situation and any side health issue. thank you
Doctor Alsayes Answer:
As you know, Gynecomastia results from an alteration in the ratio of testosterone to estrogen leading to stimulation of the tissue in the breast.
Viagra doesn’t work by increasing testosterone levels, but rather increasing the blood flow in the penile tissue leading to an erection.
I’d suggest you follow up with your doctor for treatment of your Gynecomastia and have your hormone levels checked, and you may take Viagra if you want; it’s safe.
Don’t worry, Viagra doesn’t affect (improve or worsen) Gynecomastia, however, you should know that among men with Gynecomastia, Viagra was helpful for erectile problems in some of them, but in some others, it wasn’t effective.
Thanks, Dr. Alsayes
